Da Nang - A Green City
Introduction: This is my work for a tourism contest about Da Nang City, my hometown, which took place in October 2020, just after the second spread of COVID-19 in Vietnam originated from this beautiful city. Although I didn't achieve any reward for this work, it was completely a memorable event for me, as I could make a little contribution to my hometown in the most difficult time.
Here is my writing:
Vietnam has many places with beautiful and magnificent natural landscapes. However, there are not so many places that possess a green color regardless of time like Đà Nẵng. It is not only the natural beauty of Hàn River, of its top-notch beaches, but also the “Green – Clean – Beautiful” of a city with “5 no, 3 yes, 4 secure”.
My Khe Beach and the hotels around
But you don’t need to go to the beaches. You can feel the greenery and peace of Đà Nẵng in every street, every alley (which is usually called “kiệt” in Đà Nẵng and the surrounding areas like Huế, Hội, An, …) we come across. Following the motto “5 no, 3 yes, 4 secure”, we rarely see unsightly moment in this worth living city.
If you want both magnificant natural landscapes and primary urban necessities, Đà Nẵng is the best choice for you. In many corners of this city, we can see Hải Vân Pass or Sơn Trà Peninsula hidden and unhidden far away. Coming to Đà Nẵng, travelers may also go along Sơn Trà Peninsula and visits special sites like Chessboard (Bàn Cờ) Peak and Linh Ứng Pagoda. There, we can not only visit sacred spaces but also enjoy the beauty of the mountains, forests around and have a look at a panoramic view of Đà Nẵng City from above.
Hai Van Pass, which ranges between Thua Thien - Hue
Province and Da Nang City
